from CA$48.00

“I first heard about Takaya when my uncle asked me to do a colour pencil drawing for him. He'd seen the documentary on TV and later found the photo taken by Cheryl Alexander of Takaya standing on a rock which captured his imagination. When I saw the image, I was immediately drawn to the mesmerising gaze of an animal with a unique and beautiful soul and as he began to take shape on the paper, I felt a growing connection with him, almost like I knew him.”

Artist Bio

Catriona is a semi-professional artist from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She enjoyed drawing when she was younger and in 2018, with the idea of gaining the skills to draw her two Huskies, decided to get back into it and enrolled in an online beginner's pencil drawing course. Since then she has worked with different mediums and now predominantly does animal portraits in colour pencil along with other crafts she enjoys.
