"Freedom" by Wayne Sheppard
Artist Statement
“I first heard about Takaya and his story from a friend who commissioned me to paint a picture of him. I was fascinated by his story and was deeply saddened to hear of his unnecessary death. I wanted the picture to represent that although he may be gone his spirit still lives within nature and remains free.”
Artist Bio
Wayne is 51 years old and started painting when he was diagnosed with cancer and a neurological condition 4 years ago.
