Artist Bio

Laura Kidson is a Victoria local who has had a lifelong love for both art and animals. She loves to combine those two passions to create paintings that celebrate the beautiful creatures that we share our beloved island with. Often utilizing leaves, ferns, or other forest treasures to add texture and a natural feel to her pieces, she finds endless inspiration in our natural world. Acrylics and oil pastels are her favourite mediums but she is hoping to gain more skills with watercolour in the future. Some of Laura's best childhood memories involve watching "Bob Ross' Joy of Painting" and spending hours in the studio with her grandfather, Lionel Kidson, who was also a local artist and craftsman.
