The Kids’ Art & Writing Contest has four categories of eligibility:

1. Colouring Contest

2. Little Kids’ Art Contest: Ages 4-8

3. Big Kids’ Art Contest: Ages 9-12

4. Writing Contest

How to Enter:

• Email entries to info@takayaslegacy.com by 11:59pm March 31, 2021.

• In the email, please include the first name and age of the artist/writer.

• One piece of artwork may be submitted in each eligible category.

• Art must be submitted as a digital image in JPG format.

• Writing must be submitted as a PDF or Word Document.

• Artwork & stories submitted must fit the theme of the contest: Takaya the Lone Wolf!

Judging and Winners:

• A panel of judges will review entries by category.

• First place winners will be selected from each category

• All winners’ artwork will be featured on the social media pages of Russell Books, Rocky Mountain Books, and Takaya’s Legacy.

• Winners will receive:

  • Colouring Contest Winner:

    • Good Morning, Takaya (board book)

  • Little Kids’ Art Contest Winner

    • Good Morning, Takaya (softcover)

  • Big Kids’ Art Contest Winner

    • Takaya’s Journey (hardcover)

  • Writing Contest Winner

    • Takaya’s Journey (hardcover)

    • A classroom set of 30 levelled readers from Red Canoe Books.

• Winners will be announced April 7, 2021.
